BenQ EW2480 Overview

The BenQ EW2480 23.8" 16:9 FreeSync IPS Monitor is an entertainment-focused monitor, complete with emulated HDR for enhanced picture quality. BenQ's HDRi technology intelligently adjusts the screen's brightness based on ambient light levels to improve contrast and color accuracy. Specs-wise, the EW2480 is built with an IPS (In-Plane Switching) panel featuring a 1920 x 1080 Full HD resolution, a 1000:1 static contrast rating, a 250 cd/m² brightness rating, and support for 16.7 million colors. Once it's plugged into your system via HDMI, users can utilize its built-in speakers or plug-in their own pair of headphones. The included stand only supports tilting; however, users can install their own VESA-compatible mount, stand, or arm if needed.

BenQ HDRi

BenQ's HDRi technology intelligently adjusts the display's brightness to deliver HDR-like images with vivid colors and sharper contrast. There are modes for different applications such as HDR, Game HDRi, and Cinema HDRi.

treVolo Speakers

The built-in treVolo speakers offer users an enhanced listening experience, complete with three fine-tuned personalized settings: Cinema, Pop/Live, and Dialog/Vocal.

BenQ Eye-Care

BenQ's Eye-Care technologies include a variety of features.

 

  • Brightness Intelligence Plus - Detects ambient light levels and color temperatures and automatically adjusts on-screen brightness and color temperature.
  • ePaper Mode - Simulated e-book effect with clear black and white reading layout.
  • Eye Reminder - An infrared sensor detects the user's presence and tracks desk time to suggest a break.
  • Color Weakness Mode - Red and green filters help users with color perception deficiency distinguish colors more easily.
  • Low Blue Light & Flicker-Free - Reduces eyestrain and fatigue over extended viewing periods.

AMD Radeon FreeSync

AMD Radeon FreeSync technology syncs the display's refresh rate with your graphics card's frame rate output to reduce screen tearing, stuttering, and ghosting for a smoother experience.
