The mic focuses the audio capture on what's directly in front of the capsule thanks to its cardioid polar pattern. It comes with a high-quality shockmount from Rycote, which prevents the mic from picking up extraneous vibration noise as well as a high-quality windsock to keep unwanted elements at bay.
With its simple plug-and-play form factor, the mic is perfectly suited for mobile video recording.
Rycote makes some of the best mic accessories in the business, and two Rycote products are on hand here: a shockmount and a furry windsock. Additionally, the handy TRRS to TRS cable means you can use the mic not only with DSL and videos cameras, but with compatible smartphones as well. When you're done, store everything in the included carrying bag.
