The STA-U1 USB Microphone from Comica Audio is a simple, hassle-free, voice-oriented digital mic designed to provide solid performance in streaming or podcasting for the amateur recordist. Featuring a bus-powered, USB-C connected design with plug-and-play capability for immediate compatibility with most of today's computers and mobile devices, and a large, easy-to-use step-less gain knob for volume control, the STA-U1 can provide most of the features streamers are seeking right out of the box.
The mic sports quality, 24-bit / 48 kHz digital audio conversion and a built-in pop filter for dynamic, intelligible voice recordings with minimal effort. A simple mute button with LED indicator makes it easy to quickly switch off your mic for going AFK or avoiding awkward situations, and the RGB lights respond to audio input to provide your streams with extra atmosphere. The cardioid polar pattern is highly directional, helping to reject unwanted room noises from the sides. The all-metal housing is rugged and protects the mic from RF interference, while the 3/8" threaded hole is compatible with a number of stands and mounts, besides the included 360° rotatable desktop stand. For an ideal starting USB mic that sits equally well in podcasting, twitch streaming, and home audio recording, the STA-U1 USB microphone is an affordable and effective option.
